Cub Camp

Cub Camp

Cub Camp is a mini camp designed for children who are entering 1st through 3rd grade. The sessions runs from Wednesday afternoon until Friday afternoon. The camp is made to introduce the camp experience to younger campers without the anxiety of being away from home too long. A parent or legal guardian must accompany each Cub Camper for the entire duration of the session.

You may be wondering, “what do I do as a parent while I am up there?”

Great question! Mainly, you’re there just in case there is an epic melt down! The chances of this happening are slim to none. Just hang out at the camp and try not to let your little one see you. You can head into town, read a book, or hike up the hill.

You’ll be staying in one of the cabins with other parents or if you have a RV there are hook ups there at camp too. The camp has a very strong internet connection via WiFi so if you need to get some work done you can.

*Cub Camp is not a full week. You can learn more about this camp here.

Each camp is directed by a member of the churches of Christ as are the counselors. A typical week will have the following:

  • Canoeing
  • Zipline
  • Archery
  • A Hike to Prescott Point
  • Human Battleship
  • Romans and Christians (High School & Combo Weeks only)
  • The Anointing (High School & Combo Weeks only)
  • Formal Night (High School & Combo Weeks only)
  • Skit Night
Each director will have a whole host of games that fall in line with our theme for the Summer Camp.  Bible Class will occur 1-2 times a day along with nightly devotionals and cabin devotionals. Our goal is to instill the ideas found in scriptures into the minds and hearts of all our campers.

What is Combo Week?
Combo Week is a combination of High School (9th to 12th grade) and Jr. High (7th to 8th grade). This is our more popular camp.
